THE PROS & CONS OF THE HAGUE CONVENTION ON THE CIVIL ASPECTS OF PARENTAL CHILD ABDUCTION
IMPLEMENTATION IN COUNTRIES THAT DO NOT ACCEDE TO IT
This study focuses on the opportunities provided on how to resolve parental abduction cases by the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction to countries signatory to it, the obstacle hindering the implementation of the convention’s legal regulations and their effect on the outcome of parental abduction cases, as well as proposed enhancements on the convention’s approach to protect abducted children and ensure their safe return home.
